Medical City Dallas is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for our Labor and Delivery unit in Addison, Dallas. Your daily responsibilities will naturally involve providing comprehensive patient care, monitoring labor progression, supporting physicians and the interdisciplinary care team, and educating patients and their families throughout the birthing process.
Key responsibilities for the RN Labor and Delivery position typically include:
- Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for laboring, antepartum, and postpartum patients.
- Monitoring fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs, recognizing potential complications, and responding quickly to emergency situations.
- Administering medications and managing pain relief options in accordance with physician orders and clinical protocols.
- Collaborating closely with OB/GYNs, anesthesiologists, neonatal teams, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe delivery outcomes.
- Providing compassionate support, emotional reassurance, and educational guidance to patients and their families.
- Maintaining accurate, timely, and confidential electronic medical records in compliance with hospital standards.
