BAE Systems is seeking a Senior Engineer – Safety & Environmental Engineering (Product Safety) to join our team, offering a hybrid working arrangement based out of the Stockingford, Nuneaton area. As a Senior Product Safety Engineer, you will be trusted to play a vital role in the delivery of critical engineering objectives. Your day-to-day responsibilities will typically involve conducting safety assessments, ensuring compliance with relevant industry and environmental standards, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate product risks throughout the engineering lifecycle.
Key responsibilities for this role include:
- Leading product safety and environmental engineering activities across designated projects.
- Developing, maintaining, and reviewing safety cases, hazard logs, and risk assessments.
- Collaborating with engineering, design, and project management teams to ensure safety requirements are fully integrated.
- Providing expert technical guidance on regulatory compliance and safety standards to stakeholders.
- Participating in safety reviews, audits, and design gate meetings.
