Join the RAC as a Roadside Mechanic based in Styal, Wilmslow. We are looking for a dedicated professional to join the team that keeps the UK moving, delivering exceptional roadside assistance and mechanical support to our members.
In this full-time role, you will be the face of the RAC at the roadside, diagnosing and repairing a wide variety of vehicle faults efficiently and safely. Your responsibilities will typically include:
- Attending members at the roadside to diagnose and repair vehicle breakdowns.
- Utilising technical knowledge and diagnostic equipment to identify mechanical and electrical issues.
- Providing high levels of customer service, reassuring stranded motorists, and explaining repair options clearly.
- Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with health, safety, and environmental guidelines.
- Maintaining accurate records of work completed and managing vehicle parts and equipment effectively.
To be considered for this position, candidates must hold a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent) and possess at least 2 years of relevant hands-on mechanical experience. You will also need a valid UK driving licence.
This is a full-time position offering a fantastic earning potential with a salary of £60,000 per year. Enjoy the convenience of starting and finishing your shifts directly from your driveway, working demand-led shifts averaging 40 hours per week with opportunities for optional overtime.
