Outcomes First Group is seeking a dedicated and compassionate professional to join the team at Underley Garden School as a Family Liaison Officer and Attendance Lead. In this permanent, term-time-only role, you will work 40 hours per week from Monday to Friday, between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm, based in the Carnforth and Warton area (specifically near Kirkby Lonsdale, LA6 2DZ). The position offers a fixed annual salary of £32,500 (not pro rata), along with a travel allowance.
As the Family Liaison Officer and Attendance Lead, you will serve as the crucial primary connection between home and the school environment. Your core focus will be supporting students and their families, championing consistent attendance, and helping to foster a positive, collaborative community that aligns with the organization’s belief in creating a better work-life balance.
Key responsibilities typically associated with this role include:
- Acting as the main point of contact for parents and carers, building strong and supportive relationships between home and school.
- Monitoring student attendance patterns, investigating absences, and implementing proactive strategies to improve overall student engagement and attendance rates.
- Working collaboratively with teaching staff, leadership, and external agencies to identify barriers to attendance and family participation.
- Providing guidance, advice, and pastoral support to families to help ensure students are able to access their education successfully.
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation regarding family communications, attendance tracking, and intervention outcomes.
