Shapinsay Farms is seeking a reliable and motivated full-time dairy farm worker to join our family-run dairy farm operation in Northern Victoria, located 35 km from Echuca in the Echuca West and Campaspe area. We offer a competitive full-time salary package ranging from A$72,800 to A$83,200 per year, working in a supportive, hands-on environment alongside our Dairy Farm Manager.
In this role, you will play an essential part in our daily farming operations. We milk 350 cows using a modern 50-bale, one-person-operated rotary dairy equipped with automatic cup removals. You will work closely with our management team to ensure high standards of animal welfare, milk quality, and facility hygiene are maintained at all times.
Key responsibilities for the role include:
- Milking cows efficiently and safely within our rotary dairy system.
- Performing routine washing and sterilization of the milking machinery and equipment.
- Assisting with general livestock care and day-to-day farm maintenance tasks as required.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized working environment in and around the dairy.
- Collaborating with the Dairy Farm Manager and team members to support overall farm productivity.
