Key responsibilities for this role typically include:
- Preparing equipment, chemicals, and materials for science demonstrations and student practical classes.
- Maintaining laboratory safety standards and properly storing chemicals and hazardous materials in accordance with established guidelines.
- Cleaning, maintaining, and conducting routine maintenance on laboratory glassware and scientific equipment.
- Assisting teaching staff with the setup and trial of practical experiments.
- Managing inventory levels, ordering supplies, and keeping accurate records of science department resources.
We are looking for candidates who possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a safe working and learning environment. A background in science or previous experience working in a laboratory or educational setting is highly advantageous.
