Aspect Personnel is currently partnering with a well-regarded council in Melbourne’s South East to find a dedicated Statutory Planner for a full-time opportunity within the Melbourne region. This role offers a competitive salary range of A$110,364 to A$128,606 per year, making it a fantastic next step for professionals looking to advance their career in local government planning.
In this position, you will step in and make an immediate impact within a supportive and collaborative planning team. You will take ownership of a variety of planning applications, manage a busy caseload from day one, and navigate the demands of a fast-paced council environment with confidence.
Key responsibilities typically associated with this role include:
- Assessing and processing a diverse caseload of statutory planning applications in a timely manner.
- Preparing clear and comprehensive reports, recommendations, and planning permits.
- Communicating effectively with applicants, internal stakeholders, and the local community regarding planning proposals.
- Providing accurate and professional planning advice in accordance with relevant legislation and local schemes.
- Participating in mediation and supporting outcomes that align with council objectives.
