AMR is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Emergency Medical Technician – Basic (EMT-B) to join our team on a full-time basis in North Bay Shore, Suffolk County, NY. In this vital role, you will be responsible for responding promptly to emergency and non-emergency requests for medical assistance, ensuring the safe transport of patients, and delivering high-quality care, treatment, and customer service to every individual we serve.
As an EMT-B with AMR, your day-to-day responsibilities will typically include:
- Responding to assigned emergency and non-emergency dispatches in a timely and safe manner.
- Assessing patient conditions, administering basic life support care in accordance with local protocols and training, and monitoring patients during transport.
- Collaborating seamlessly with dispatchers, fellow crew members, and local emergency services personnel.
- Accurately documenting patient care, medical histories, and trip information using electronic reporting systems.
- Ensuring that ambulances and medical equipment are fully stocked, clean, and properly maintained for every shift.
Compensation and additional details for this full-time position include:
- Annual salary: $32,262 per year (with starting hourly pay beginning at $20.35 and up, determined by your applicable years of experience).
