As a Family Nurse Practitioner in this Family Medicine practice (without OB), your day-to-day responsibilities will typically involve assessing patients, diagnosing and treating acute and chronic illnesses, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and developing individualized patient care plans. You will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care and promote overall health and wellness in the local community.
Key responsibilities for this role include:
- Providing comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages in an outpatient setting
- Conducting physical examinations, taking medical histories, and diagnosing health conditions
- Ordering, performing, and interpreting diagnostic and laboratory tests
- Developing and executing effective treatment plans and prescribing medications as appropriate
- Educating patients and their families on preventative care, disease management, and healthy lifestyle choices
- Collaborating with physicians, specialists, and support staff to ensure coordinated, high-quality patient outcomes
- Maintaining accurate and timely electronic health record documentation for all patient encounters
