Medical City Dallas is seeking a dedicated Nuclear Medicine Technician to join our team on a part-time basis in Flower Mound, Denton County. In this role, your primary responsibilities will involve performing nuclear medicine procedures, preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals, operating imaging equipment, and ensuring the safety and comfort of patients throughout the diagnostic imaging process. You will work closely with physicians, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality diagnostic results while adhering to strict safety and regulatory standards.
Key responsibilities typically associated with this position include:
- Preparing, measuring, and administering radiopharmaceutical agents to patients as prescribed by a physician.
- Operating specialized nuclear medicine imaging equipment to capture diagnostic scans.
- Positioning patients correctly and explaining procedures to alleviate anxiety and ensure clear imaging.
- Monitoring patient vital signs and overall well-being during procedures, responding appropriately to any adverse reactions.
- Maintaining accurate patient records, logs of radioactive materials, and equipment calibration reports.
- Complying with all safety protocols regarding radiation protection, waste disposal, and infection control.
