Join the RAC as a Mobile Mechanic based in Digswell, Welwyn, and become part of our SMR Division, representing a new era of mobile vehicle repair. This is a full-time, permanent position offering a competitive earning potential of up to £52,000 per year, based on a 40-hour work week.
While the RAC is widely known for roadside rescue, this role focuses on a different kind of service within our Service, Maintenance & Repair (SMR) division. You will be travelling directly to customer locations to carry out essential maintenance, servicing, and repairs, providing a convenient and high-quality experience for vehicle owners.
Key responsibilities and details of the role include:
- Performing scheduled vehicle services, routine maintenance, and mechanical repairs at customer locations.
- Diagnosing faults efficiently and accurately using diagnostic equipment and your professional expertise.
- Managing your mobile workspace and inventory to ensure jobs are completed safely and to a high standard.
- Delivering exceptional customer service, explaining required work clearly and professionally.
Working hours are 40 hours per week, with core hours operating from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, alongside a 1 in 4 Saturday working pattern. To help you maximize your earnings, the position includes a guaranteed overtime option to increase your base salary, as well as additional overtime and bonus opportunities.
