WHCF RETAIL PTY LTD operates the AUS Post outlet at The Downs Shopping Centre, 100 Hall Road, Carrum Downs, Victoria. The organisation is seeking a friendly and reliable Retail Manager to join a permanent, full‑time team that delivers essential postal, banking and retail services to the local community.
The Retail Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of store operations, ensuring that customers receive efficient and courteous assistance with mail and parcel handling, bill payments and everyday retail transactions. The role combines operational leadership with direct customer interaction, requiring a balance of strategic planning and day‑to‑day problem solving.
- Plan and direct daily store activities to maintain smooth workflow and meet service targets.
- Supervise and coordinate team members, providing guidance and support to ensure consistent performance.
- Manage the processing of mail, parcels and financial transactions, including cash handling and electronic payments.
- Oversee inventory control, stock replenishment and accurate record‑keeping of supplies and assets.
- Ensure compliance with postal, banking and regulatory requirements, as well as health and safety standards.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly, delivering a high level of service and satisfaction.
- Prepare and submit operational reports, including sales summaries, stock levels and staffing reports.
- Liaise with regional AUS Post management and external partners to coordinate deliveries and service updates.
Key competencies include strong communication skills, a customer‑focused attitude, organisational ability and the capacity to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Experience in a retail or service environment, particularly within a post office or banking context, is advantageous. The candidate should demonstrate reliability, integrity and a commitment to supporting the community served by the outlet.
The position offers a competitive salary ranging from A$75,000 to A$85,000 per year, reflecting the responsibilities and scope of the role. Employment is permanent and full‑time, based in Carrum Downs within the Frankston area, providing stability and opportunities for professional growth within the WHCF Retail organisation.
