About this job

G.P. Surgery (SA) Pty Ltd t/a GP Surgery is currently seeking a dedicated and professional Enrolled Nurse to join our team on a full-time basis in South Australia. We are a well-established and fully accredited general practice deeply committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred healthcare to our community. Our collaborative team consists of experienced General Practitioners, nurses, and allied health professionals who work together seamlessly to provide comprehensive primary healthcare services in a supportive and professional environment.

In this rewarding full-time role, you will play an essential part in supporting our medical practitioners and delivering exceptional clinical care to our patients. Your daily responsibilities will naturally align with standard clinical nursing duties in a general practice setting, ensuring that patients receive compassionate and efficient service from their initial arrival through to their consultation and post-care follow-up.

Key responsibilities for this position include:

  • Assisting General Practitioners with routine patient assessments, examinations, and minor procedures.
  • Administering immunisations, vaccinations, and prescribed medications in accordance with clinical guidelines.
  • Wound care management, dressing applications, and ongoing patient monitoring.
  • Triaging patients, recording vital signs, and maintaining accurate, up-to-date patient records using practice management software.
  • Ensuring clinical rooms are well-stocked, clean, and prepared, while adhering strictly to infection control standards and workplace health and safety policies.
  • Providing health education and support to patients regarding ongoing care plans and preventative health initiatives.

To be successful in this role, applicants must hold current registration as an Enrolled Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) and possess a valid current practicing certificate. A compassionate bedside manner, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team are highly valued. Previous experience working within a general practice or primary healthcare setting will be viewed favourably.

This is a full-time position offering a competitive annual salary ranging from $75,000 to $85,000 plus superannuation. If you are passionate about community health and looking to advance your nursing career within a supportive and professional practice, we invite you to apply today.
