Anglicare Southern Queensland is currently seeking a dedicated professional to join our team as a Foster and Kinship Care Practitioner on a full-time basis, located in the Gympie area. This is a mid-level position with an organisation that boasts a 150-year heritage of supporting individuals and families through various life stages and challenges.
As a Foster and Kinship Care Practitioner, you will play a vital role in supporting foster and kinship carers, ensuring the safety, wellbeing, and best interests of children and young people in care. You will work closely with carers, children, families, and relevant stakeholders to build positive relationships and deliver high-standard support services in alignment with organizational values and sector guidelines.
Key responsibilities typically associated with this role include:
- Providing ongoing support, guidance, and assessment for foster and kinship carers.
- Assisting with recruitment, training, and orientation processes for prospective carers.
- Collaborating with statutory bodies, community service organizations, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Maintaining accurate case notes, documentation, and reporting in accordance with agency standards.
- Participating in team meetings, supervision, and ongoing professional development activities.
