In this role, you will be practicing at a critical access hospital equipped with an emergency department. The schedule consists of four 10-hour shifts per week, running from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, along with required night call. The patient volume is manageable, averaging about 4 patients per shift, allowing you to provide thorough, quality care.
Responsibilities include comprehensive emergency department coverage and managing a broad scope of practice. Please note that newborn deliveries are received directly in the ED since the facility does not have a Labor and Delivery department. Candidates must be comfortable working in this environment and prepared to handle diverse clinical presentations.
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Active certifications in ACLS, ATLS, BLS, PALS, and NRP
- Prior rural health experience
- Ability to handle a broad scope of practice in a critical access setting
The compensation for this position is listed at $138,572 per year.
