As a Pediatric Acute Care Cardiologist, your day-to-day responsibilities will typically involve evaluating, diagnosing, and managing acute cardiovascular conditions in infants, children, and adolescents. You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams of healthcare professionals, including nurses, pediatric specialists, and support staff, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated treatment plans for patients requiring specialized cardiac intervention and ongoing monitoring.
Key responsibilities for this position generally include:
- Providing expert clinical care and acute medical management for pediatric patients with congenital or acquired heart conditions.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate treatment, diagnostic testing, and therapeutic procedures.
- Communicating effectively with patients and their families to explain diagnoses, treatment options, and ongoing care plans with empathy and clarity.
- Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with institutional and regulatory standards.
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives and supporting evidence-based practices within the pediatric cardiology service line.
Compensation for this full-time opportunity is established at $113,267 per year.
