Skilled Nursing is currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Nurse to join a hospital in the Mackay Region of Northern Queensland for a short-term contract in the Intensive Care Unit. This temporary opportunity runs from June 6, 2026, through to August 30, 2026, and is ideal for critical care professionals looking to contribute their expertise in a vibrant regional healthcare setting.
In this vital role, you will be responsible for delivering high-standard clinical care to critically ill patients within the ICU. Your duties will include continuous patient monitoring, administering complex medications, managing life-support equipment, and collaborating closely with multidisciplinary medical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes and compassionate family support.
To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following mandatory requirements:
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
- A minimum of 3 years of recent, dedicated ICU or critical care nursing experience
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced and acute healthcare environment
