Mercor is currently seeking a Quantitative Finance Expert to join our team, with this opportunity based in Geebung, Brisbane (noting our broader presence in Sydney, NSW). In this role, you will work directly in partnership with a leading AI research lab focused on training frontier models in rigorous quantitative reasoning. Your primary responsibility will be to evaluate, analyze, and compare complex model outputs against challenging finance problems. By applying your financial expertise, you will help shape how the next generation of artificial intelligence understands, interprets, and reasons about global financial markets.
Key responsibilities for the Quantitative Finance Expert typically include:
- Reviewing and assessing AI-generated responses to advanced quantitative finance problems.
- Providing detailed, expert-level feedback to help refine and improve model accuracy and reasoning capabilities.
- Collaborating closely with researchers to identify edge cases, errors, and areas for improvement in financial models.
