New Horizons Enterprises Limited is seeking an experienced Support Worker to join our team and provide essential services in the Taree and Sancrox, Port Macquarie regions. In this permanent part-time role, you will be responsible for delivering hands-on support to individuals living with a disability within a home setting, ensuring that care is delivered with dignity, respect, and a focus on empowering each customer.
Your day-to-day responsibilities in this rewarding position will typically involve:
- Assisting customers with personal care routines tailored to their individual needs
- Preparing nutritious meals and helping with dietary requirements
- Administering medication in accordance with established guidelines and care plans
- Supporting individuals with daily living tasks to promote personal management
- Encouraging customer independence, self-determination, and personal choice in daily activities
- Building genuine, trusting relationships with customers, their families, and the wider support team
- Collaborating effectively with colleagues to ensure continuity and high standards of care
This position offers 48 hours per fortnight and operates across a flexible 24/7 roster, requiring availability to work various shifts to meet the needs of the people we support.
