U.S. Xpress is currently hiring for a full-time CDL-A Company Driver position based in Daphne, Baldwin County. This over-the-road (OTR) dry van opportunity offers an estimated salary of $83,200 per year, with top earners in our OTR fleet bringing in approximately $1,600 per week. As an OTR driver with U.S. Xpress, you will transport dry van freight safely and efficiently across designated routes throughout the country. We welcome drivers with 1 to 5 months of verifiable experience to apply. Key responsibilities for this role include:
- Safely operating a commercial motor vehicle in compliance with all state and federal Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations
- Transporting dry van freight securely and delivering loads on schedule across over-the-road routes
- Conducting thorough pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Maintaining accurate electronic logs of driving hours, rest breaks, and duty status
- Communicating effectively with dispatchers, logistics coordinators, and customers regarding delivery updates
Job requirements and qualifications:
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License Class A (CDL-A)
- 1 to 5 months of verifiable commercial truck driving experience
- Commitment to maintaining a clean safety and driving record
- Ability to meet all applicable physical, medical, and background screening requirements
