Geisinger is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team on a per-diem basis within the Convenient Care Northeast Region, located in Pittston, Luzerne County. This part-time position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to patient care in a fast-paced, walk-in clinic environment.
As an LPN in our Convenient Care clinic, you will play a vital role in providing quick and accessible healthcare to patients of all ages. Geisinger Convenient Care locations specialize in treating minor health issues that can be resolved in a single visit, ensuring our community receives timely medical attention when they need it most.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve supporting our clinical team and delivering patient-centered care. Typical duties for this role include:
- Assisting providers with patient assessments, examinations, and minor procedures
- Administering immunizations, medications, and treatments as ordered
- Providing care for common illnesses and minor injuries, such as cold and flu symptoms, allergies, earaches, urinary infections, tick removal, sprains, strains, and minor cuts
- Assisting with family healthcare needs, including physicals and routine screenings
- Maintaining accurate and confidential patient electronic health records
- Ensuring exam rooms are properly prepared, sanitized, and stocked with necessary medical supplies
