The department is actively recruiting Clinical Laboratory Geneticists to serve as Laboratory Directors in the Appointment Stream for the UPMC Cytogenetics Laboratories. Depending on qualifications and background, appointments may be considered at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor. Experience expectations generally align with academic rank, ranging from early-career professionals to those with extensive leadership and laboratory direction experience.
Key responsibilities for this role typically involve overseeing clinical cytogenetic testing, ensuring high standards of quality control and regulatory compliance, interpreting complex genetic and genomic data, and contributing to the educational and research missions of the institution. Compensation for this position is established at $125,343 per year.
