The RAC is seeking a dedicated Mobile Mechanic to join our SMR Division in Kingston and Barnsley. This is a full-time position offering a fantastic opportunity to be part of a new era of mobile repair. Unlike traditional roadside rescue, our SMR (Service, Maintenance, and Repair) division focuses on delivering convenient, high-quality vehicle servicing and maintenance directly to our customers.
In this role, you will work 40 hours per week, with core working hours from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, along with a rota of 1 in 4 Saturdays. You will be responsible for traveling to customer locations to carry out a range of vehicle maintenance and repair tasks efficiently, safely, and to the highest professional standards.
Key responsibilities and details of the position include:
- Performing routine vehicle servicing, maintenance, and mechanical repairs at customer locations
- Diagnosing vehicle faults and communicating solutions clearly and professionally to customers
- Maintaining an organized mobile workshop and managing stock levels effectively
- Complying with all health and safety guidelines and company policies while on the road
- Delivering exceptional customer service that represents the trusted RAC brand
We offer a competitive compensation package designed to reward your hard work and flexibility. The structure includes:
- A competitive base salary with on-target earnings of up to £52,000 per year
- A guaranteed overtime option available to increase your base salary to £44,385
- Additional opportunities for overtime and performance bonuses
