About the Role: We are seeking a qualified and experienced Chef to join our full-time kitchen team. In this role, the successful candidate will play an integral part in the daily kitchen operations, preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes to meet our established venue standards while supporting the broader culinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, season, and cook modern Australian menu items in accordance with recipes and venue presentation standards
- Ensure all food preparation and cooking areas maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety compliance
- Work collaboratively with kitchen staff and front-of-house team members to ensure efficient service delivery during peak trading hours
- Monitor stock levels, handle ingredients properly to minimise waste, and assist with inventory management tasks as required
- Adapt to a fast-paced rooftop venue environment, maintaining composure and high quality under pressure
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Proven professional experience working as a Chef in a commercial kitchen environment
- Relevant culinary qualifications or equivalent industry experience
- A strong understanding of kitchen safety, hygiene regulations, and food handling best practices
- Reliability, a positive team-oriented attitude, and flexibility to work full-time rostered hours appropriate for a vibrant hospitality venue
Compensation & Benefits:
- Employment Type: Full-Time
- Salary: A$79,500 – A$85,000 per year
