Indigeco is currently partnering with a major Commonwealth Government department to source multiple experienced accounting and finance professionals for APS 6 Finance Business Partner roles. This is a full-time opportunity located in Acton, North Canberra, offering the chance to contribute to impactful government initiatives and support high-quality financial decision-making.
In this role, you will act as a key senior finance professional, leveraging your expertise to lead crucial project finance and asset management functions. You will collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders, providing trusted financial guidance and ensuring robust financial governance across operations.
Key responsibilities typically associated with this position include:
- Partnering with operational areas to deliver strategic financial advice, budgeting, and forecasting support.
- Leading key project finance initiatives and managing asset accounting functions in alignment with government frameworks.
- Preparing comprehensive financial reports, analyses, and variance commentary for senior leadership.
- Engaging and communicating effectively with diverse stakeholders to drive financial awareness and accountability.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant financial legislation, accounting standards, and Commonwealth guidelines.
To be successful in this position, you should bring a strong background in technical accounting, financial reporting, and stakeholder engagement, alongside demonstrated leadership capabilities.
