Sutter West Bay Medical Group (SWBMG) is seeking a dedicated and qualified Physician specializing in Gastroenterology with a focus on Pancreatology to join our team in the Hayes Valley neighborhood of San Francisco, CA. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a highly regarded, innovative team of interventional endoscopists at California Pacific Medical Center (CPMC), the flagship tertiary-quaternary referral hospital within the Sutter Health network.
In this role, you will provide specialized medical care supported by a robust referral base and a practice dedicated to the comprehensive management of benign pancreatic diseases. As a member of our medical group, you will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient-centered care in a state-of-the-art clinical environment.
Key responsibilities for this position typically include:
- Providing expert clinical evaluation, diagnosis, and management for patients with complex pancreatic and gastrointestinal conditions.
- Performing specialized endoscopic procedures related to advanced pancreatology within a premier hospital setting.
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, including interventional endoscopists, surgeons, oncologists, and support staff, to ensure comprehensive patient care plans.
- Participating in clinical documentation, case reviews, and maintaining high standards of medical practice and patient safety.
- Engaging in departmental meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and educational activities associated with the Sutter Health network.
Candidates must be Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Gastroenterology with specialized, advanced training in Pancreatology. Applicants should possess a strong commitment to clinical excellence, effective communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced academic and clinical environment.
This position offers a compensation of $95,663 per year within the dynamic healthcare landscape of San Francisco.
