St Vincent’s Hospital Sydney is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (Year 2 to 8) to join our team on a maximum-term full-time contract until June 2027. This role is based within the Day Procedure Centre, part of Interventional Services at our Darlinghurst campus in the Sydney CBD. As part of Australia’s largest not-for-profit provider of health and aged care services, you will help us deliver on our mission of providing better and fairer care always.
In this position, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centred nursing care within our busy Day Procedure Centre. You will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to support patients throughout their procedural journey, ensuring clinical excellence and adherence to professional standards.
Key responsibilities for this role typically include:
- Providing comprehensive, evidence-based nursing care to patients undergoing various procedures within the department.
- Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized patient care plans in consultation with the medical team.
- Monitoring patient status pre- and post-procedure, promptly identifying and responding to clinical changes.
- Maintaining accurate, contemporary clinical documentation in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
- Communicating effectively and compassionately with patients, families, and multidisciplinary team members to ensure a supportive environment.
- Participating in quality improvement activities, safety audits, and ongoing professional development.
The salary range for this position is $78,346.12 to $104,336.27 plus superannuation, commensurate with your applicable years of experience (Year 2 to 8).
