Almarzole Pty Ltd, trading as Jayliano’s Brookside, is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Cook to join our team on a full-time basis at our location in Everton Park, Brisbane. We operate a popular, family-friendly, buffet-style steak and seafood restaurant that is open six days a week, including Sunday lunch. Our menu specializes in Western and Mediterranean cuisine with a touch of Asian influence, backed by over 17 years of successful hospitality experience.
In this full-time cooking role, you will play an essential part in our kitchen operations, ensuring that all dishes are prepared and served to our high standards of quality and consistency. You will receive a competitive salary package ranging from A$75,000 to A$85,000 per year, commensurate with your skills and background in the hospitality industry.
Key responsibilities for this position typically include:
- Preparing, cooking, and presenting a variety of dishes with a focus on Western, Mediterranean, and Asian-influenced cuisines
- Working efficiently within a fast-paced buffet and restaurant kitchen environment
- Complying strictly with all food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety regulations
- Assisting with kitchen station setup, stock rotation, and inventory management as required
- Collaborating effectively with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service during peak operational hours
