MedStar Health is seeking a dedicated Inpatient Physiatrist to join our acute inpatient rehabilitation team at MedStar Good Samaritan Hospital, located in Idlewylde, Baltimore. As part of our community teaching hospital in northern Baltimore, you will have the opportunity to work with a unique and diverse patient population within our 49-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit. We welcome your clinical experience, input, and leadership as an expert in healthcare.
In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, comprehensive inpatient rehabilitation care, collaborating closely with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to support patient recovery and improve functional outcomes. Typical responsibilities for this position include evaluating patients, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, managing medical conditions during the rehabilitation process, and guiding patients and their families through the continuum of care.
We offer a rewarding professional environment where your expertise is valued and supported. The annual salary for this position is $180,145.
Key responsibilities and qualifications for the role include:
- Providing comprehensive inpatient rehabilitation care within our 49-bed specialized unit
- Collaborating effectively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, nurses, and social workers
- Assessing patient progress and adjusting rehabilitation care plans as needed
- Participating in educational and clinical activities within our community teaching hospital environment
- Maintaining all required medical licenses and board certifications necessary to practice as a Physiatrist
- Demonstrating a strong commitment to patient-centered care, clinical excellence, and teamwork
