Key responsibilities typically associated with this role include:
- Providing direct, high-quality patient care within an acute care setting
- Monitoring patient vitals, recognizing changes in condition, and responding promptly
- Collaborating with physicians, multidisciplinary teams, and fellow nursing staff to coordinate patient treatment plans
- Administering medications and treatments in accordance with hospital policies and clinical standards
- Educating patients and their families regarding post-treatment care and recovery steps
- Maintaining accurate and timely electronic health records
