We are seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Provider (APP) in Rheumatology to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care in an outpatient clinic setting. Expected hours for this role are Monday through Thursday, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including history-taking, physical exams, and interpretation of diagnostic tests and lab results.
- Diagnose, manage, and treat chronic autoimmune and musculoskeletal conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, osteoarthritis, and gout.
- Develop individualized treatment plans and prescribe medications in accordance with evidence-based guidelines.
- Perform joint injections, aspirations, and related clinical procedures as appropriate.
- Provide clear education and guidance to empower patients in managing their symptoms and treatment choices.
- Collaborate closely with rheumatologists, nurses, and the broader multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic health record (EHR) system.
Required Qualifications:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
- Current, unrestricted licensure as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) in the state of practice.
- Board certification by a recognized national body, such as the ANCC or NCCPA.
- Demonstrated knowledge of rheumatologic diseases, pathophysiology, and treatment options.
- Experience performing joint injections and aspirations.
Compensation and Benefits:
- The expected compensation for this specialty generally ranges from $109,500 to $164,000, determined by factors such as local labor markets, education, and work experience, with potential increases based on productivity and performance.
