CompHealth is currently seeking a qualified Emergency Medicine Physician for a locum tenens opportunity at a healthcare facility located in Eclectic, Elmore County, Alabama. This role offers an annual compensation of $100,892, providing a great opportunity for dedicated physicians looking to support a busy hospital emergency department.
In this role, you will be joining a fast-paced hospital setting with an annual emergency department volume of over 35,000 patients. To ensure manageable workloads and high standards of patient care, the facility offers double coverage along with advanced practice provider (APP) support that varies depending on the day and time.
Key responsibilities and shift details for this position include:
- Providing timely and effective emergency medical evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment to patients in a hospital setting
- Flexibility with scheduling, featuring 18 to 20 shifts available per month
- Choosing from a variety of shift lengths, including 8, 10, and 12-hour shifts
- Collaborating closely with nursing staff, double-coverage physicians, and APP support personnel
- Completing necessary patient documentation and fulfilling all required hospital privileges
