The Department for Education SA is seeking a dedicated and creative professional to join our team as an ASO6 – Design and Publications Specialist. This is a part-time, long-term contract opportunity located centrally in the Adelaide CBD (specifically operating within the 5007 – HINDMARSH area), offering a chance to contribute to a vital public sector organisation committed to making a difference in the community.

As our Design and Publications Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting the department’s communication and publishing objectives. While specific daily tasks align with standard professional practices for this classification level, your responsibilities are generally expected to include:
- Developing, designing, and producing a wide range of high-quality publications, digital assets, and marketing collateral.
- Ensuring all designed materials comply with relevant corporate branding guidelines, accessibility standards, and government publishing requirements.
- Collaborating with internal teams and stakeholders to understand project briefs, target audiences, and communication goals.
- Managing production timelines, liaising with external printers and suppliers, and ensuring accurate delivery of assets.
- Providing expert advice on design trends, layout principles, and visual communication strategies.
