We are currently seeking a dedicated Auto Property Damage Claims Adjuster to work in our Colorado Springs office, helping us serve the military community and their families with honesty, integrity, loyalty, and service.

This role offers a comprehensive, fully paid six-month training program designed to help you succeed, including all training materials, hands-on learning, and instructor-led guidance. USAA pays for all licensing costs and study materials. Candidates are required to obtain a property and casualty license for their state of residency by their third week of employment, with additional state licenses acquired during the first 90 days. After six months in the office, you will have the opportunity to work offsite two days a week.

What you’ll do:

  • Maximize Property & Casualty sales and claims potential by expertly handling member inquiries, identifying cross-selling opportunities, and providing exceptional service through various communication channels.
  • Apply developing knowledge of personal lines insurance to assist members with foundational to moderately complex quotes, binding new business, rating, policy, billing, payment, underwriting, contract provisions, and premium changes.
  • Identify, evaluate, and understand member needs to consistently provide complete and accurate advice and solutions while minimizing transfers and escalations.
  • Efficiently operate in a contact center environment, navigating multiple systems and programs while maintaining engaging member interactions.
  • Maintain required Property & Casualty licenses and state registrations while adhering to risk and compliance policies and procedures.

What you have:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Ability to provide exceptional service and sales support by communicating clearly and professionally by phone and email.
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and navigate through multiple business applications.
  • Understanding of insurance regulatory and compliance requirements, with the ability to acquire necessary P&C licenses and state registrations.

What sets you apart:

  • One year of customer contact experience in a needs-based sales environment.
  • Six months of experience frequently communicating with customers by phone, email, or face-to-face.
  • US military experience through military service or as a military spouse or domestic partner. Military veterans and spouses are highly encouraged to apply.

The hiring range for this position is $46,400.00 to $48,900.00, with actual salary varying based on experience and location. Roles may include a shift differential of 15% for weekday hours worked after 6:00 pm local time and any hours worked on Saturday or Sunday. After initial training, schedules may include weekday and weekend hours based on business needs.
