KinderCare Education is currently seeking a dedicated Before and After School Counselor to join our team at Thacker Avenue Elementary School, located in Kissimmee, Osceola County. As part of our Champions and early childhood education network, you will have the opportunity to help build confidence for kids, families, and the future we share right in your local neighborhood.
In this role, you will help create a welcoming, safe, and engaging environment for school-age children before and after the regular school day. You will play a vital role in supporting children’s social, emotional, and physical development through structured activities, homework help, and recreational play.
Key responsibilities for this position typically include:
- Supervising children during before and after-school programs to ensure their safety and well-being at all times.
- Planning and leading engaging daily activities, games, arts and crafts, and enrichment projects.
- Fostering a positive, inclusive, and supportive environment where every child feels valued and encouraged.
- Communicating effectively and professionally with parents, school staff, and fellow team members.
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe program space in accordance with company policies and safety standards.
