Behavioral Health CNA (EVENING SHIFT)

Masonicare Health Center in Wallingford, CT is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavioral Health CNA to join our team on the evening shift. This position is part-time, working 24 hours per week and every other weekend (EOW), and is located on our specialized Behavioral Health and Acute Psych Unit within our 50-bed state-of-the-art behavioral health hospital facility.

In this role, you will perform essential, basic nursing care procedures under the direct supervision and direction of a licensed nurse. You will play a vital role in carrying out individualized treatment plans designed to meet the specific age, needs, and abilities of each patient.

Key responsibilities for this role typically include:

• Assisting patients with daily meals, nutritional intake, and hydration needs.
• Safely transferring patients using proper body mechanics and appropriate assistive devices.
• Assisting with patient ambulation, mobility, and physical exercise routines.
• Providing personal care support, including bathing, toileting, dressing, and grooming.
• Maintaining a safe, therapeutic, and supportive environment tailored to behavioral health care.

To qualify for consideration, candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:

• Current certification as a Nurse’s Aide (C.N.A.) in the State of Connecticut.
• Current CPR certification.
