As a CDL-A Driver Trainee, you will learn the essential skills and operations required to build a successful and long-lasting driving career with us. We provide strong and secure client relationships and work to get you home safely and more often. While in this training role, you will be expected to maintain our high standards of safety, professionalism, and operational efficiency on the road and at customer locations.
Key responsibilities for this full-time role typically include:
- Participating fully in all required training programs to obtain or refine your commercial driving qualifications.
- Learning and adhering to all federal, state, and local Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety policies.
- Assisting with the safe loading, securing, and unloading of freight as directed.
- Communicating effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, and customers to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
- Completing required route paperwork, logs, and pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections accurately.
