CHRISTUS Trinity Clinic is currently seeking a dedicated Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) to join our care team at the Alice clinic. In this fulfilling full-time role, you will manage comprehensive women’s health care with a special focus on pregnancy, childbirth, the postpartum period, newborn care, family planning, and general gynecologic needs. You will provide direct prenatal, intrapartum, postpartum, and well-woman patient services, as well as primary care tailored to low-to-moderate risk obstetrical and gynecological patients, while strictly adhering to established departmental policies, safety guidelines, and infection control standards.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Assessing critical elements of patient history, interpreting test results, and instituting practice protocols independently.
- Partnering with physician colleagues to diagnose and manage patient care using approved clinical standards.
- Collaborating closely with case managers, nurses, physicians, and social workers as an expert member of the health care team.
- Communicating findings and treatment plans clearly through comprehensive progress notes and verbal updates.
- Evaluating patient responses to treatments and medications, and revising care plans collaboratively as needed.
- Identifying and addressing the educational needs of patients and their families, ensuring active participation in healthcare decision-making.
- Maintaining accurate, concise, and timely clinical documentation that supports service fee charges and clearly reflects care complexity.
- Engaging in continuous professional development through self-assessment, peer review, and ongoing educational activities.
Applicants must meet the following education, experience, and licensure requirements:
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN).
- 2 to 3 years of relevant clinical experience.
- Current APRN License in the state of employment.
- Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) certification.
- Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications.
