Epic Special Education Staffing is currently seeking a dedicated and qualified Certified Occupational Therapist for a full-time school-based position covering the 2026-2027 school year in Downey, Lake County. This opportunity is well-suited for professionals passionate about helping students achieve their educational, developmental, and functional goals within a school environment.
In this full-time role (30 hours/week), you will collaborate with educators, parents, and other members of the multidisciplinary team to assess student needs, develop and implement effective therapy plans, and provide direct support to students. You will maintain accurate documentation of progress and participate in IEP meetings as required to ensure students receive the comprehensive care and guidance they deserve.
We are pleased to offer a competitive salary of $82,684 per year for this position. Additionally, eligible clinicians and educators who commit to and successfully complete their full school year assignment will receive a $2,000 Completion Bonus. You will also have the opportunity to earn up to $3,000 in referral bonuses by connecting other talented professionals with our team.
Key responsibilities typically associated with this role include:
- Evaluating students to identify fine motor, sensory, and visual-motor deficits affecting their academic performance.
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans tailored to each student’s specific IEP goals.
- Providing individual and group therapy sessions in accordance with school schedules and student needs.
- Collaborating closely with teachers, school staff, and families to support student integration and success.
- Documenting progress, maintaining required records, and participating in regular team and parent meetings.
