Medical City Plano is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Respiratory Therapist to join our esteemed healthcare team in Plano, Collin County. In this role, you will play a vital part in assessing, treating, and caring for patients with breathing disorders and cardiopulmonary cardiorespiratory conditions. Working alongside a collaborative medical team, you will utilize your clinical expertise to administer respiratory care procedures, monitor patient equipment, and ensure high standards of safety and clinical excellence.
Key responsibilities typically associated with this role include:
- Administering aerosolized medications, oxygen therapy, and other prescribed respiratory treatments.
- Setting up, operating, and maintaining various types of respiratory equipment, including mechanical ventilators.
- Monitoring and evaluating patient responses to treatment, modifying therapy as needed under physician direction.
- Educating patients and their families on disease management, equipment use, and post-discharge respiratory care.
- Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation in patient medical records.
- Collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other multidisciplinary team members to optimize patient care plans.
