The Garden Tandoori Pty Ltd is currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Chef to join our vibrant team on a full-time basis in South Australia, Australia. We are a well-established Indian restaurant dedicated to serving authentic Indian cuisine prepared using traditional recipes and quality ingredients. Our menu features a wide selection of tandoori dishes, curries, biryanis, freshly baked naan breads, and vegetarian specialties, all crafted to deliver a genuine dining experience for our guests.
In this full-time role, you will play a key part in the kitchen operations, ensuring that every dish meets our high standards of taste, presentation, and authenticity. We are offering a competitive annual salary ranging from A$80,000 to A$85,000 plus superannuation, reflecting the importance of this culinary position within our establishment.
Key responsibilities for the Chef position typically include:
- Preparing and cooking authentic Indian dishes, including tandoori specialties, curries, and breads, adhering strictly to traditional recipes and standards.
- Ensuring high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness are maintained across all kitchen areas at all times.
- Collaborating with kitchen staff to manage food preparation, cooking timelines, and efficient service flow during peak dining hours.
- Monitoring ingredient quality, assisting with stock control, and minimizing food waste where possible.
- Contributing to kitchen organization and supporting team members to ensure a smooth and professional working environment.
