Aviva is currently seeking a dedicated Claims Handler / Customer Service professional to join our team on a full-time basis, located in Hillhead, Glasgow City Centre. The salary for this position is £25,483 per year.
This is a great job for someone who is passionate about delivering outstanding customer care, supporting customers during emergency breakdown situations, often at stressful and unexpected moments. You’ll be the calm, reassuring voice our customers rely on, ensuring help is delivered quickly, safely and effectively. Working within the Green Flag Rescue team, you’ll handle inbound calls from customers requiring urgent assistance and coordinate appropriate support.
In this dynamic customer service role, your day-to-day responsibilities will generally include:
- Answering inbound calls from customers in emergency or unexpected situations with empathy and professionalism
- Assessing customer needs accurately and coordinating efficient breakdown or rescue services
- Managing claims processes from initial contact through to a satisfactory resolution
- Maintaining clear, accurate records of all customer interactions and case details using internal systems
- Collaborating with internal teams and external service providers to ensure prompt delivery of assistance
We are looking for a reliable individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses strong communication and active listening skills. The ideal candidate will be able to remain calm under pressure, problem-solve effectively, and show genuine compassion for customers who may be stranded or distressed. Previous experience in a customer service, call center, or claims handling environment is beneficial but a supportive attitude and dedication to helping others are essential.
