Halfords, the UK’s largest automotive service, maintenance, and repair business, is currently seeking an experienced Commercial Tyre Technician to join our team on a full-time, mobile basis covering the Hanley and Stoke-On-Trent areas.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Commercial Vehicle Tyre Fitter looking to take the next step in their career with an industry leader. Working on a mobile basis, you will be provided with a company van, tools, and all necessary PPE to ensure you can carry out your duties safely and efficiently.
The standard working hours for this role are Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 17:00, with Saturday work from 08:00 to 12:00. As part of a dynamic mobile operation, you will also participate in call-out rotas to support our commercial customers when they need us most.
We are offering a competitive OTE of £40,000 to £60,000 per year, which is comprised of your base salary, an uncapped bonus scheme, overtime opportunities, and attractive call-out rates.
Key responsibilities typically associated with this role include:
- Attending to commercial vehicle breakdowns and scheduled appointments in a timely and professional manner
- Safely fitting, repairing, and replacing commercial tyres on a wide variety of vehicles
- Conducting thorough tyre safety inspections and providing expert advice to customers
- Maintaining accurate records of all work completed and parts used
- Adhering strictly to health and safety guidelines and company procedures at all times
To be successful in this position, you should bring strong experience in commercial tyre fitting, a proactive and customer-focused approach, and the ability to work independently while on the road. A full UK driving licence is required.
