Halfords, the UK’s largest automotive service, maintenance, and repair business, is currently seeking an experienced Commercial Tyre Technician to join our team on a full-time basis. Based in Baginton, Coventry, this is a mobile role offering an attractive earning potential of £40,000 to £60,000 per year OTE, which comprises your base salary, an uncapped bonus scheme, overtime, and call-out rates.
As a mobile Commercial Tyre Technician, you will be traveling to various locations to provide expert tyre fitting, maintenance, and repair services for commercial vehicles. To help you succeed on the road, we provide a fully equipped mobile van, professional tools, and all necessary personal protective equipment (PPE). The standard working hours for this position are Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 17:00, along with Saturday working from 08:00 to 12:00.
Key responsibilities and duties in this role typically include:
- Carrying out mobile fitting, repair, and replacement of commercial vehicle tyres efficiently and safely.
- Conducting thorough tyre inspections and diagnosing faults on customer vehicles.
- Responding to call-outs and working overtime as required to support our commercial customers.
- Maintaining accurate records of all work completed and parts used.
- Adhering strictly to health and safety guidelines while working on-site or roadside.
We are looking for candidates who possess previous experience as a commercial vehicle tyre fitter and are comfortable working in a dynamic, customer-facing mobile environment. You should hold a valid UK driving licence and demonstrate a strong commitment to safe working practices and high-quality service.
