Unitywater is seeking a dedicated Control Room Officer to join the team on a full-time basis, located in the Maroochydore area. In this vital role, you will be responsible for monitoring and coordinating Unitywater’s potable water, recycled water, sewer reticulation, and operational technology networks on a 24/7 basis. This position is offered with a competitive salary of A$149,379 per year.
As a key member of the control room team, your day-to-day responsibilities will involve maintaining real-time situational awareness across critical infrastructure networks. You will efficiently dispatch reactive maintenance and service requests, provide crucial support to field crews, and contribute directly to the timely restoration of network services. Throughout your duties, you will ensure adherence to all regulatory standards and safe drinking water requirements.
Key responsibilities of the Control Room Officer include:
- Monitoring and coordinating water and sewer networks using operational technology systems
- Providing continuous, real-time situational awareness across 24/7 operations
- Dispatching reactive maintenance and service requests to appropriate personnel
- Supporting field crews with operational information and logistical coordination
- Contributing to the timely and safe restoration of network services during incidents
