Wanton Resources Pty Ltd is currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Cook to join the team at Taku Japanese, a restaurant located in the heart of Camberwell, Melbourne, specialising in authentic Japanese cuisine. Known for a commitment to serving fresh, high-quality dishes and providing an exceptional dining experience in a welcoming environment, the restaurant is looking for a culinary professional eager to contribute to an extraordinary dining experience.
This is a full-time position offering a competitive annual salary of A$78,000 to A$85,000, located in the Hartwell and Boroondara area. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking menu items, ensuring that all dishes meet the high standards of quality and authenticity that our guests expect.
Key responsibilities for this role generally include:
- Preparing, seasoning, and cooking authentic Japanese menu items according to established recipes and quality standards
- Ensuring the kitchen and food preparation areas are kept clean, sanitary, and organized in compliance with food safety regulations
- Collaborating with kitchen staff and management to maintain efficient kitchen operations during service hours
- Managing ingredient inventory, handling stock properly, and minimizing food waste
- Maintaining consistency, presentation, and high standards across all dishes prepared
