We are currently seeking a Credit Officer for our Global Wealth & Investment Management (GWIM) division. In this role, you will act as an extension of the Credit Executives, actively developing and supporting strategies to identify and deliver credit opportunities such as LMA, ISBL, PCL, Custom Lending, and Margin to Financial Advisors’ existing wealth management clients and prospects.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Establishing new credit relationships and supporting the expansion of existing GWIM credit relationships to generate balance and revenue growth with appropriate risk-adjusted returns.
  • Collaborating with Financial Advisors, Wealth Management Clients, GWIM Custom Lending Credit Executives, Credit leadership, Risk Management, and other specialist organizations.
  • Marketing and selling Private Wealth credit solutions to address the unique lending needs of clients.
  • Negotiating with Underwriting and Risk to structure sound loans, including securities-based loans, commercial and recreational real estate loans, hedge fund loans, fine art loans, yacht loans, and unsecured loans.
  • Conducting financial analysis, including ratio analysis, debt service coverage (DSC) analysis, and collateral evaluations.
  • Assessing existing loan portfolios to ensure compliance with financial covenants and reporting, as well as resolving margin calls and debt service failures.

Required qualifications and skills:

  • Minimum of a High School Diploma, GED, Secondary School, or equivalent.
  • 3 years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or a related finance or banking occupation.
  • Strong core competencies including attention to detail, business development, loan structuring, portfolio management, relationship building, active listening, analytical thinking, and client management.
  • Desired educational background includes a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Finance, Business Administration, Financial Economics, or a related field.
