Amazon TA is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced professional for the role of Data Centre Engineering Operations – Chief Engineer to join our team in Shendish, Hemel Hempstead. This is a full-time position with an annual salary of £53,429. As a Chief Engineer within our data centre operations, you will play a critical role in maintaining the reliability, safety, and efficiency of our technical infrastructure. Typical responsibilities for this position include:
- Overseeing the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting of critical data centre mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Ensuring high availability of power, cooling, and environmental systems to support continuous cloud infrastructure operations.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to manage facility improvements, equipment upgrades, and maintenance schedules.
- Adhering to strict safety standards, environmental regulations, and internal compliance policies across all engineering tasks.
- Responding to emergency incidents swiftly, diagnosing root causes, and implementing effective corrective actions.
