UCHealth is seeking a dedicated and skilled professional to join our healthcare team as a full-time Diagnostic Medical Sonographer. Based in the Stratmoor Hills area of El Paso County at the UCHlth Memorial Hosp Central location, this onsite role plays a vital part in providing high-quality imaging services to our patients. The position is scheduled for 72 hours per pay period on a night shift schedule.
In this role, you will perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations, operate specialized imaging equipment, and collaborate closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate patient care and diagnostic results. As an integral member of the Ultrasound department, you will maintain professional standards of patient comfort, safety, and confidentiality.
Key responsibilities typically associated with this role include:
- Performing physician-ordered diagnostic sonograms according to established protocols and standards.
- Preparing patients for procedures by explaining the process, answering questions, and ensuring proper positioning.
- Operating ultrasound equipment to acquire, process, and evaluate optimal diagnostic images.
- Collaborating with radiologists and medical staff to communicate findings and ensure clinical accuracy.
- Maintaining equipment, keeping accurate patient records, and upholding safety and sanitation standards.
The annual salary for this position is $77,079, reflecting a full-time commitment. Please note that exact placement within the compensation framework is dependent upon the applicant’s relevant experience.
