All Industries Mechanical is currently seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our workshop team on a part-time basis. Based in the North Ward area of Townsville, our growing operation offers a supportive environment and long-term career opportunities for the right professional.
In this role, you will focus primarily on light to medium trucks, including popular makes such as Isuzu, Hino, and Fuso. This position is well-suited for a mechanic who enjoys working on a great variety of commercial vehicles without the demands of constant heavy mining or earthmoving equipment.
Key responsibilities for this position typically include:
- Performing routine servicing, maintenance, and comprehensive repairs on light to medium commercial trucks.
- Diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults using appropriate diagnostic tools and techniques.
- Conducting road tests and safety inspections to ensure all serviced vehicles meet required standards.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized workshop environment in accordance with workplace health and safety guidelines.
- Accurately documenting all completed work, parts used, and service histories.
To be successful in this role, you should possess a relevant trade qualification as a Diesel Mechanic and practical hands-on experience working with light to medium trucks, particularly Japanese commercial vehicle brands. A strong commitment to quality workmanship, reliability, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team are essential.
